  • A great story

During the Italian postwar upturn, Amedeo Pengo laid the foundations of the enterpreneurial path that will distinguish the company. This is the beginning of a great story, our story.

1953

THE ESTABLISHMENT

After starting his enterpreneurial experience in Padova, Amedeo moved to Bassano del Grappa and established Pengo, selling household products and manufacturing terracotta vases and cases. Years of restoration and boldness, with the emptiness left by the war, where new ambitions and opportunities arise.

1950s

WHOLESALE BUSINESS

Amedeo’s small company quickly changed to satisfy an actual demand: focusing on the sales of household products, Pengo become a wholesale center, offering all the necessary cookware and tableware to the local shops.

1960s

RETAIL BUSINESS

Pengo become an important distribution center. Other than the wholesale business, Amedeo’s daughters run also a retail business.

1970s

LOGISTIC IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

During these years, to satisfy the growing demand of products, the company moved from the city center to the first outlying commercial area, in a new logistic building including the first warehouse. During the next decade, new offices and showroom were added, creating the first sales network for the sale of products.

1990s

PENGO’S BRANDS

The company expanded more and moved to the South side of Bassano del Grappa, with a bigger warehouse and a renovated logistic system. More products were available and stronger business relationships were focused on the distribution of products under Pengo’s brands. During these years, some of the Pengo’s brands were developed, like H&H and HOMe.

2000s

PARTNERSHIPS & LICENSING

Important relationships started in the licensing sector, with the biggest companies like Disney and Marvel, creating our collection of baby products, distributed under our Lulabi brand. After developing our main brands for kitchenware and tableware, we also developed some partnerships in the food and kitchen sectors, like the brand “Alessandro Borghese – il lusso della semplicità”. Thanks to these outcomes, the company approached the European market, with the establishment in Spain of the branch Pengo Spazio Casa and with the takeover of the French company Barbier.

Nowadays

OUR INTERNATIONAL BRANCHES

The results achieved allowed to strenghten Pengo in the distribution, in Italy and abroad, of household products, same as restaurants and hotellerie, and baby products. Pengo works in the present challenging market with the same unchanged passion, knowledge and professionalism. The latest takeover of Morini broaden the horizon of our Ho.Re.Ca. supply, with new and specific solutions.
